Someone stop me-I think I need an intervention

Went out to the range today. Just intended to shoot the two I already have but something took over and I ended up buying a Glock 26. I'm really liking it and I think it will be a great concealed carry for me.

What with the elections coming I figure can't hurt to have an extra (or two) for when McBama starts tearing up the Constitution. At least that's how I've justified it to myself. Oh, well no silver for me this week. I need help.:D

A tight little number...very popular for CCW. Compact, accurate, 9mm Glock fun...what else is there to say? Congrats.

maybe you're seeing this from the wrong angle

when the time comes, and someone(?) tries to take away your freedoms

you could be doing " the intervention "

considering my current firearm and ammo inventory ...i could intervene for a small country.....adding the S&W certainly qualifys me as obsessed :D

I'm not an expert chartist. I don't have Eliot wave counts to back this up. But I think that the fundamentals favor base metals right now (particularly brass jacketed lead) even over silver. I think you made a good call.

It is addicting! I spent 2000 recently in two weeks on revolvers. I am thinking of selling all my Glocks for some more revolvers....but they are very nice guns!

You guys DO NEED HELP.

Help buying MORE GUNS. And ammo. And magazines. AND GUNS...

Good job, one and all. There's no such thing as too many guns.

Re: Someone stop me-I think I need an intervention

Bought 8 guns so far this year (4 pistols and 4 rifles). Over 10k rounds of ammo. Magazines, optics, slings, etc. I don't even want to count what I spent. Time to draw a line in the sand and say enough is enough and move on to something else. This year the goal was an emergency pantry with about a years worth of food, and to get guns and ammo stocked well. I think i did a good job on both.

New goals for 2009.

It has been pointed out to me that while I've bought 3 handguns in the last 6 months, I do not have a shotgun for home defense. I have put this on my list to get one ASAP. Any recommendations for me?

Nice. Personally I'd go for a GLOCK 33 in .357SIG if I could, over the 26, but still a fine gun. I have a G34 9mm at present and as testament to that gun, a bunch of range officers own it too, and they bought it AFTER I did. =)

LA,
The standard suggestion for a 12 gauge shotty is either Mossberg (several models to choose from) or a Remington 870.

The Mossberg 900 series has been put through the wringer by the military. The Remington 870 probably rides in almost every marked police car in America. Or at least most of them.

Me? I like Winchester Model 12's. You can empty five shots in less than 3 seconds. It was designed with no trigger disconnector (made in 1912 and later), so you hold the trigger down and pump. As soon as the bolt goes into battery, it fires. Then you pump and it fires - again and again.

A good Model 12 owner can put 5 slugs on a human target in less than 5 seconds at fifty feet. I've seen it done.

Love a Glock 26

You can't see them....... they can survive a loose pat down.

They can Fire +P+ with no problem.

Plus that baby can hold a 17 and 33 round mag!!!

Hey those things with steel ball berrings are lethal.

An attacker will take it as a joke until his eye is goughed out.
